It might have happen because I lost my network connection, but I would be nicer to have a better message than ""Unknown Error"".

Also, the messages ""Checking for updates finished"", ""Checking for updates started in background"" are annoying since they happen very often in the course of a day, and fill up the log rapidly.  It would clog up the log less if it were just a punctual message in the statusbar for instance.
