Description

I have problem opening directories which contain characters with diacritic (such as ěščřžýáíé) in kdesvn (currently version 1.3.0 on kde 4.2.3 but it didn't worked on any 1.2.x I tried either). Drag and drop from dolphin works ok.

may you give some more specific information? Error messages?

In status bar kdesvn simply states that it didn't open url. It seems to me, that the filename was incorrectly decoded/encoded. In my particular case I have í (iaccute) in the filename and this character is in the status bar message replaced by cedilla (without any character). So the string representing the path differs from the actual path.

I think my problem is similar: kdesvn doesn't understand non-english filenames or paths. For example, if local copy of svn repository located in "/home/Dmitry/Разработка/project", kdesvn (version 1.4.1) reports:

Unable to open an ra_local session to URL
Unable to open repository 'file:///home/Dmitry'

I can confirm it, too.

Here it is how you can reproduce: mkdir "Exportált fájlok" kdesvn kdesvn > Open > "Exportált fájlok"

I tried it here - and it worked. Did you mean path inside a repository or local filesystem?

The problem is with the local filesystem. As I wrote in original bugreport, when you drag&drop local directory to kdesvn it opens the repo, however, when you try to use the "Open" function of the kdesvn GUI it fails. It simply messes up the file name with diacritics.

got it, its done with r2030, it was real a wrong code translation. I'll release two weeks from now or earlier if there are some other problems to fix.
