Ticket #57 (closed defect: wontfix)
kompare is unable to save modified files
| Reported by: | micron | Owned by: | alwin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Priority: | normal | Milestone: | 0.10.x |
| Component: | All | Version: | 0.7.x |
| Severity: | major | Keywords: | RESOLVED |
| Cc: |
Description
Steps to reproduce the bug: 1) use kdesvn to launch kompare (compare a working file with its remote/local original version) 2) revert some changes in your working file 3) try to save the new file
Here's the error message: <quote> Could not upload the temporary file to the destination location . The temporary file is still available under: /tmp/kde-micron/komparePejdYa.tmp. You can manually copy it to the right place. </quote>
Obviously the filename under /tmp changes every time.

I just wanted to report this bug and I see it was already marked as 'wontfix'.
Please reconsider if there is a way to make it work.

I am seeing this error on my Fedora 12 system. It is fully up to date. Is there any information on what the resolution was?
On second look I see that this is a kompare issue not a kdesvn problem, as I can open a file, make changes and save it as expected from kdesvn.
I'll add this as info for others that see this problem and are searching for solutions.
