expandable items in tree without having to click on them

Description

Right now, you have to click on a folder first to be able to expand that folder. I would like it if the '+' sign was visible always for folders, and that I could use the keyboard to navigate the tree.

Made a few days ago in branch rel_0_7 and comes with 0.7.3 which I planned release next days.
