Refresh view does not show colorized "remote changed items"

Reported by: barcaroller Owned by: alwin

Component: All Version: 1.0.x

Description

When items change in the repo ("remote changed items"), "Refresh View" does not show them colorized. I have to close and re-launch kdesvn to see those item colorized.

Note: other items, such as locally modified items, are colorized properly.

Okay, thanks. Just out of curiosity: why is it this way? Wouldn't "Refresh View" be a natural candidate for such functionality?

Replying to barcaroller:

Okay, thanks. Just out of curiosity: why is it this way? Wouldn't "Refresh View" be a natural candidate for such functionality?

'Cause "Refresh view" may mean "Refresh content of what you opened". And checking a remote state against a local state may or may not seen as part of "what you have opened." So it is a design descision: Refreshing a remote state is a network access which may unwanted when just checking if inside tree something is changed. Network sometimes may real slow. Thats why both buttons are in toolbar located, and most problems reported for kdesvn resultet from unwanted automatic network access.
