After opening a working copy. The problem remains with version 0.14.6. I'm using kdesvn compiled from source on Arch Linux.

did you have it with versions before? is it an public repository I can try myself, and which language you're using?
comment:4 Changed 5 years ago by blum at innerprocess ..... net
It's a local repository and it was working with no problem before. The problem occured when I upgraded to version 0.14.5.. and continued with 0.14.6. In the same time I have no problems with this repository using Eclipse SVN plugin (subclipse). There are cyrillic symbols (bulgarian) in the source, if i understand your question right.

I have the same problem in kdesvn 0.14.1. I did not have the problem before I updated, but unfortunately I did not notice which version I used before

I had the same problem with 14.1 on kubuntu 8.04. It seemed to arise right after an update of the subversion client to 1.5.1. The problem recurred several times, each time I opened a local repository and kdesvn attempted to check for updates. Then I did an update and commit from the command line, which proceeded without error, and after that kdesvn starts up with no problem.

I have the same problem with svn 1.5.1 and kdesvn 14.1. I have tried to make a command-line commit, which worked fine, but the problems remain. Now kdesvn complains that »8Je/ms/m*x/zle« is not a working copy and that it has problems opening the file »88Je/ms/m*x/zle/.svn/entries«. (I've masked the directories a little, but the funny characters at the beginning are a direct copy).
Hopefully you can finde the problem.

I think it is related to version of svn... it started for me in kubuntu just after autoupdate of svn to 1.5 version , before with svn 1.4 it worked almost ok. (Even that I have reported few issues ...like recursive add not working)

I have written the last post starting with "I think it is related to version of svn. ...." . Now I have the problem fixed by downgrading svn from 1.5 to svn 1.4 and of course then downgrading the working copy version to 1.4 too. By the way, the subversion autoupdated for me in Kubuntu I do not know why, but I pinned the version to "Pin: version 1.4.6dfsg1-2ubuntu1" and now the kdesvn cooperates fine.
Thank you very much for kdesvn, Ondrej

Ok, but I don't understand this. I tested it with kubuntu and svn 1.5 and it worked all fine. I'll close this but I'll check it again whats going wrong.

Well, I know that there were a problem inside 0.14.x, my problem: 0.14.1 is a year old. What system you have, eg., which distribution?
I had fixed something like you described in 0.14.4, see Changelog for this release, you should think about upgrading to 1.0.2, see Changelog.
I think the problem described by other commentors are almost the same problem but without more information and a little bit newer kdesvn I can not resolve it. (Even when I fix it you must upgrade to this fixed version, so you may upgrade to the latest one, too ;) )

btw.: with my kdesvn version here I have no problems with your repository. I think this is real the memory handling error I described in ChangeLog.

I have downloaded the kde4 snapshot, and all is working great. It's really strange that ubuntu packager have not updated their package since one year !! So i think the bugs is definitly closed, simply uppgrade the package or build last version yourselves.
Thanks for the great job, i already like the kde4 port !

May all of you see wiki:/2008/09/25/00.12 and if not trying kde4 port you may try the binary packages for opensuse build. If in next days no "Error occurs with latest version, too" comes I will close this bug.

I installed the .deb files with dpkg in kubuntu 8.04 and kdesvn started to work again. Thank you!

Direct after start? Or when opening a repository or working copy? Which system you're using?
