kdesvn working dir/file status error

Description
I did a fresh checkout of my project from my svn repository and after opening it in kdesvn it shows that all the files are missing?! But the normal svn status on command line shows no such thing.
My
- distro: Slackware 11
- subversion: 1.4
- kde: 3.5.5
- qt: 3.3.7
- cmake: 2.4.5

ok, it seems that there might be an issue with building/compiling... but I can't be sure...
anyhow, if I compiled kdesvn 0.11.0 myself with cmake it showed my the error reported above, but today I just tried a precompiled package from www.linuxpackages.net and this one seems to work, no wrong missing status as previously. Yet, I have not changed my system ie installed/unistalled packages... go figure?!
at least I can enjoy kdesvn again ;)
