Bugfix version 1.5.2

Just released another small bugfix package.

Most important: it fixes a problem with non-latin1-foldernames opened kdesvn (#629).

Until no more critical bugs are posted it will be the last release of a 1.5.x kdesvn.

Bugfix 1.5.1

I've got some reponse about 1.5.0 that it contains some mistakes, mostly kdesvn sends too much messages.

Second I've got a hint about bug messages inside debian bug tracker which I wanted fix, too.

Third I detected that I forgot merge back an older fix from 1.4.x branch.

Thats why I have to short release a new version. Real sorry about that, next time I will be much more carefull again.

You'll find the packages in download area, feedback is very welcome as every time.

Version 1.5.0 is out

Just released kdesvn 1.5.0.

Of course, it contains some bugfixes against 1.4.1 but new stuff, too:

  • User may setup timed actions for checking for updated items when working copy is open
  • KIO integration sends messages back to the KDE notification system
  • implement subversion method "merge --reintegrate" which comes with svn 1.5
  • fixed a huge performance problem when open repositories

And some smaller changes to the user interface.

You'll find the packages in download area, feedback is very welcome.

Bugfix release 1.4.1

This release fixe some more / less important errors:

  • kdesvnaskpass checks if last given password were wrong and ignores stored pw in that case
  • fixed a buildproblem with qt < 4.5
  • fixed a crasher while update to new added items

You may download sources from DownLoads section of wiki or wait until your distributor updates its packages.

Finished Release 1.4.0

Yesterday I'd tagged the much too late release 1.4.0. Late 'cause I had made more changes as I wanted while first planning.

Most important may that kdesvn now real knows about subversion 1.6 interface changes. Most of them aren't visible to user side. Second important: I'd integrated repository specific settings stored inside log cache database. This log cache may now viewed and deleted if not wanted, automatic log cache update may switched off per repository.

For more about this version read the Changelog.

Version 1.5.x is planned, but due some very important changes in my life it may delayed in time, too.

1.0.6 is out

The kde3 branch of kdesvn got a small bugfix for ticket #614. The sources you may find in download area as kdesvn-1.0.6.tar.bz2.

This version contains nothing more than this buildfix, no new features. So if your current kd3-version of kdesvn runs there is no need for upgrade.

Account registration disabled

In last time I got a lot of fake accounts created. This realy sux. It wastes my time, my mailfolder, the system.

'Cause for sending tickets an account isn't real required I disabled the registration module. If someone wants a login (whyever) mail me the nick wished and I will create an account.

Of course, existing accounts may login :)

Urgent bugfix release

With version 1.3.1 a lot users reported ugly crasher when using the navigation panel.

Seems that I found the reason now. But I don't understand why it not happened with fedora 10/11. So I can not real test it (I have currently no Opensuse machine near to me). If this crasher occurs with this version, too I'll prepare a virtual machine.

So please test it and report if problems.

You'll get it from DownLoads or hopefully your distribution maintainer will make packages.

See /tags/rel_1_3_2/ChangeLog for more info about this release

Mailing lists broken

Since last system upgrade it looks like mailling lists doesn't work anymore.

'Cause I have no idea whats going wrong I can not fix this. On other hand - this lists where not used a long time so I think it would better switching them off meanwhile until I have an idea whats going wrong.

Kdesvn 1.3.1 is released

Hello

today I tagged this version which contains some bugfixes for the 1.3.x release.

First of all I detected myself a strange layout problem in authentication dialog resulting from port to kde4 I think. Next the new left navigation panel may switched off so kdesvn acts like before if wanted.

Last but not least on first startup the items weren't sorted correct. it looks to me as this happens since qt 4.5 but not sure. I'd integrated a workaround for it.

You may download it from Downloads, getting sources from /tags/rel_1_3_1 or wait until your distribution has new packages.

Kdesvn switched to new trac

As title says, I had switched over to latest trac version for kdesvn web. It cost a while, I had made some errors and not all is working perfect.

So feel free mailing me if you detect some problems in trac pages here.

Version 1.3.0 out

As header says a new version of kdesvn is out.

Due some tests a few weeks later as planned. The most important change is the new frontend which integrates a navigation panel.

Other changes are:

  • removed obsolete log limit setting
  • a lot tickets closed
  • fixes in KIO

You may get it from DownLoads - Area, hope you enjoy the smart reworked interface, critique is welcome.

Version 1.2.4 and 1.0.5 released

Today comes tow bugfix packages:

  • 1.0.5 fixes a problem that checking out a repository wasn't enabled when no repository or working copy is open
  • 1.2.4 fixes the same problem and a lot more. For more details you may take a look into the Changelog

Hopefully it will be the last release for kde3 series.

Version 1.2.3 out

I'd just tagged this patch level. It contains some small fixes.

More details in Changelog. The sources you'll find inside download area?, builds will follow next days.

Version 1.2.2 out

Hi,

this moment I tagged release 1.2.2. It contains no important changes but some finish on toolbar, man page and shortcuts when embedding kdesvn into other programs like konqueror.

I'll release this now, 'cause implementing new features cost more time then I thought ('cause I have musch less this moment) and release 1.3 will comes much later I hoped.

See DownLoads for packages.

Debian packages for kde4 version

Michael Biebl had finished creating debian packages of kdesvn 1.2.x. You will find them inside the  experimental package repository.

Many thanks to Micheal doing this work.

kdesvn 1.0.4

Hi, this is a typical embarrassing situation: due missing tests I had no see that changes I made in kde4 branch will let kde3 version not run anymore due some elder bugs covered until now.

So I must release 1.0.4 as soon as possible so you will get a running version again. I'm real sorry about this.

Release versions 1.0.3 and 1.2.1

This moment I released two versions of kdesvn:

  • 1.0.3 as fix for #558
  • 1.2.1 the kde4 port of kdesvn.

See DownLoads page for getting the sources, binary packages as before from  OpenSuse build service for the kde3 version.

1.2.x may not build there 'cause I don't get it running for kde4 programs this moment. May I provide some binary packages for Fedora9 myself.

Bugreports welcome, many thanks at this point to Petr Vanek for helping on kde4 port.

xUbuntu builds

Hi,

last days I got a lot of bugreports for kdesvn 0.14.1 on Kubuntu 8.04. This kdesvn-version is a year old. I don't know why it isn't patched offical, I don't know where to find kdesvn backports for xUbuntu, but I know that kdesvn 1.0.2 is working with it. (The kde4-port, too).

So I had taken the setups from Michael Biebl (the maintainer of the fine debian packages) and generated an entry for OpenSuse Build service and since a few minutes I got it working and it build  kdesvn 1.0.2 for xUbuntu 8.04. So you may try out these packages.

If someone knows about a official backport archive where to get kdesvn updates on a regular basis for xUbuntu please let me know. Meanwhile enjoy this packages.

Kdesvn 1.0.2

Release 1.0.2 is in the public.

It fixes an annoying problem with merge paramters which let subversion not track merges (when kdesvn is build against svn 1.5) or not handle simple merges with one source the right (eg. simple) way.

Source you may get from download page, binary packages  from OpenSuse build server (may take a while).

KDE4 port mostly finished

Hi,

all of you waiting for kdesvn for kde4: Most parts are done. If you want to try it out, you may get the source from kde4 branch. It would be great getting some feedback about not working stuff, missing stuff or any problems related to kde4 port.

Now I just waiting if I get some translations back for KDE4-release. Many thanks to Petr Vanek who helped a lot with sometimes stupid portage. If all goes fine next week I'll make a release of kdesvn-kde4.

Of course I made some screenshots:

Kdesvn 1.0.1 released

Today version 1.0.1 of kdesvn is released. It contains no new features but some bugfixes.

In Changelog for this release you see more details. Download source archive kdesvn-1.0.0.tar.bz2 if you want build it yourself or check out  Opensuse Buildserver for binary packages.

Kdesvn 1.0.0 is out

Hi all there,

a few minutes ago kdesvn 1.0.0 were tagged. Yes.

Why not 0.15.0?

  1. It is the last big release I create for kde3 version.
  2. It has all features I ever wanted inside, include sqlite-cache of logs.
  3. It should released begin of june, but implementing some stuff cost more than I thought. And in this time I thought about real new features needed - I didn't found some. So - feature finish. Release 1.0.

Of course kde3 development will not stop, but only bugfixing and some of tickets. But bigger stuff (like #189) will only implemented in KDE4 version.

You find this version inside DownLoads (with links to binary packages)

Bugfix of latest release

Due a copy&paste and testing error 0.14.5 is buggy, so I had to release 0.14.6 now.

Real sorry about - next time I test better before release.

Version 0.14.5 released

Some minutes ago release 0.14.5 is tagged - it is hopefully the last 0.14.x

It fixes the reported problems depending on access to kwallet. I didn't know that accessing the kwallet from within threads of a software is a problem for kde 3.5.

Now the automatic update in background works fine even it has to access Wallet, some crashes depending on it shouldn't happen anymore.

Packages I'll put into the download area or you may get them from  OpenSuse Build service when build.

Kdesvn in Openbuild service

I finished last steps on  Novells Openbuild Service for kdesvn. For Suse and RedHat based systems it builds now  packages you may download.

'Cause I have no knowledge about mandriva and xUbuntu I couldn't setup this buildsystems. You're welcome helping me for this distributions.

Version 0.14.4 released

Today I tagged 0.1.4.4 which contains two bugfixes.

It hopefully fixes another utf8 encoding error and a binary compatible error. And kdesvn will now build against upcoming subversion 1.5 again.

Packages I'll put into the download area

Kdesvn 0.14.3 released

Today I released the version 0.14.3, which fixes some bugs, too.

The Changelog contains all changes. Most important fix is that now kdesvn doesn't run into troubles on diff between copied/moved versions of an entry.

Packages you may found inside download area, not all packages are availaible now, them will follow next days.

Kdesvn 0.14.2 tagged

Hi,

Today I released the delayed version 0.14.2, which is mostly a bugfix release.

The Changelog contains all changes, most important is the fix of some stupid crasher when kdesvn is embedded into konqueror (see #273 and #286).

Packages you may found inside download area, not all packages are availaible now, them will follow next days.

Poll for a new name

I've got a suggestion changing the name of kdesvn.

I'm not sure if it is a good idea, so you may tell me your suggestion. Here you may poll about it (requires a trac account).

If you have other ideas than said here feel free to tell them in #213.

Version 0.14.1 released

I tagged 0.14.1 which is a bugfix release. It fixes a crasher which only comes when build without debug code.

And as small extra french and lithuanian translation are updated, tnx to the maintainers of them.

On the download page you'll find various packages and the sources.

Version 0.14.0 released

Today I released the delayed version 0.14.0 of kdesvn.

The most important changes you may read inside the Changelog. From now I set the focus porting kdesvn to KDE4 which is scheduled for end of this year.

On the download page you'll find various packages and the sources.

Spam filter activated again

'Cause a lot of brainf* spam tickets entries I had to re-enable some restrictive parts of the anti-spam subsystem. This moment 20 up to 30 tries to enter spam into this site are logged. I hate this.

So it may possible that your ticket will rejected 'cause it isn't well trained this moment. So feel free create an account and sending ticket or sending it via email (should work a little better) to the bugs-mailing adress. (kdesvn - bugs at alwins - world dot de, remove spaces).

Subversion accounts bound to TRAC

The subversion accounts used are now bound to the TRAC user database.

This means: the guys and ladies having a write access account may create this account here, too. Than tell me about and I may give write access. For more details see in HowToContribute.

kdesvn-bugs now inserts into ticket system

After a few fights against mailssystem the adress kdesvn-bugs@… isn't a mailing list anymore but injects direct into ticket list (see #165)

So hopefully I never forget bugreports or feature request anymore.

New project page online

From now kdesvn has it own project page. It is based on  TRAC and hopefully it helps organizing development and support of kdesvn.

Kdesvn blog

Simple small blog for changes around kdesvn.
