Released Version 1.6.0
Just released Version 1.6.0.
It is not that much, mostly prepared some stuff for better work with subversion 1.7.x cause older release often crashes in standard situations when running with svn 1.7.x
Russian translation is re-enabled due contributor.
More details see ChangeLog
Restarted work
Hi,
those of you taking a look on this site has seen, that I re-started working on kdesvn.
Reason is simple: I like this software, I need this software myself, and it looks like there is no one doing it.
So I'll do some slow motion work, mostly fix problems with new subversion releases. And implement some new features I like to have.
And many thanks to those, sending me the last weeks gifts and payments. It was a nice sign.
It was good, it was my, and its enough
Hi all there
The first commit of kdesvn is seven years ago. Ohlo says there are 45k lines of code.
But now: I have no time, no interest anymore. There are lot of reasons for that. The most important: I'm in real the one and only developer of kdesvn. Yes, there are contributions of others. And yes, I'm thankful for them. But more than 95% are written by me.
Some of you send me gifts via Amazon, I've got 10 (words: ten) euros donated via paypal, I were real glad about it.
But so I had to decide: Do I need kdesvn for myself anymore? No, not real.
Most projects I handle are moved over to GIT.
Others?
It is not worth my time. I'd learned enough about subversion (yes, in fact, it is damned good, I still like it), about KDE development - but I have family, I have a cool motorbike, a camera, so the one and only reason I would work like in past on it would be if I got something more on feedback (means, not only bugreports).
I don't get, thats real ok. But so I think other may take the source. (KDE SC Team itself?) and develop it further.
May that I sometimes start a KDEgit like kdesvn, may that I do not. Who knows. May that I start developing kdesvn again. But this moment I would say no.
Take the source, if you like take the name, talk to kde sc team, if them would do.
Beginning of summer I'll shut down this page.
It was good, it was my, and now its enough.
Thanks to all who gaved me feedback, gaved me gifts, who liked this software.
Over and out
Another Bugfix release
A new bugfix is released (rel 1.5.5).
It contains following fixes:
- fixed problems while updating view after a subversion update of working copy
- KNotify progress messages of KIO operation may switched off
Last small feature I got as request per email.
Source download as before in DownLoads, binaries via OpenSuse Build service or your distribution.
1.5.4
Kdesvn got a small bugfix for ticket #804, 'cause without this fix it may unusable on some configurations I released this version.
Other hand: next bigger release with new features is moved over to another day. Yes, I'm working on kdesvn. but not hard as years before. One reason: the most important stuff is integrated and it is mostly usable. Second (and most important): Time. As of now I didn't any real support from other side, no other developers taking code, contribute something, sometimes a small patch for minor stuff comes (which is very fine!) but nothing else.
So I think, it is ok, when I reduce my time a little bit for kdesvn. Or integrate a paypal button ;) We will see.
Hopefully this year a bigger release (1.6.x) comes, but don't know when.
Have a nice weekend!
Kdesvn 1.5.3 released
I've got some bugreports about some minor problems which are real ugly so I had fixed them for another bugfix (and 1.6.0 must wait due work overload on my side).
The changes of this release you'll find inside the ChangeLog of this release.
And one request: I need help, the documentation must written, translations updated, and sometimes a code review from outer space would be nice. Kdesvn meanwhile is a one-man-project, and this is not good.

Bugfix version 1.5.2
Just released another small bugfix package.
Most important: it fixes a problem with non-latin1-foldernames opened kdesvn (#629).
Until no more critical bugs are posted it will be the last release of a 1.5.x kdesvn.
Bugfix 1.5.1
I've got some reponse about 1.5.0 that it contains some mistakes, mostly kdesvn sends too much messages.
Second I've got a hint about bug messages inside debian bug tracker which I wanted fix, too.
Third I detected that I forgot merge back an older fix from 1.4.x branch.
Thats why I have to short release a new version. Real sorry about that, next time I will be much more carefull again.
You'll find the packages in download area, feedback is very welcome as every time.
Version 1.5.0 is out
Just released kdesvn 1.5.0.
Of course, it contains some bugfixes against 1.4.1 but new stuff, too:
- User may setup timed actions for checking for updated items when working copy is open
- KIO integration sends messages back to the KDE notification system
- implement subversion method "merge --reintegrate" which comes with svn 1.5
- fixed a huge performance problem when open repositories
And some smaller changes to the user interface.
You'll find the packages in download area, feedback is very welcome.
Bugfix release 1.4.1
This release fixe some more / less important errors:
- kdesvnaskpass checks if last given password were wrong and ignores stored pw in that case
- fixed a buildproblem with qt < 4.5
- fixed a crasher while update to new added items
You may download sources from DownLoads section of wiki or wait until your distributor updates its packages.
